The TomTom Rider 550 helps you plan motorbike trips that match your riding style and guide you along winding and hilly roads. You can set the level of hills and curves, choose exciting sections and save every trip in the ride log. With integrated WiFi, you update maps and software directly on the device, without using a computer. This keeps your sat nav up to date on long journeys and daily rides.

Create routes that fit your riding style
You choose how many curves and hills your route should have, giving your tour its special character. The sat nav calculates the right route and avoids long and boring straight roads. With the round-trip function, you get a different route back than the way you came. You can save your own routes as favourites and open them again anytime in “My Routes”.

Connected planning and smart services
With TomTom MyDrive, you plan and edit your routes on the website or app and send them wirelessly to the device. You can search for hotels, restaurants and other points of interest while planning or on the way, add stopovers and start your ride right away. Lifetime map updates for many regions worldwide and TomTom Traffic keep your routes current and consider traffic and delays. Speed camera alerts, warnings for accident zones and end-of-traffic jams help you ride safely.

Smart functions during the ride
Smartphone notifications appear on the display and are sent to your headset, so you get information about calls and messages without touching your phone. With voice control using Siri or Google Now, you can access music, calls and other smartphone functions. By tapping the display, you can quickly find nearby stopovers such as places to stay, biker meeting points or restaurants. Ride statistics show how long, how fast and how far you have travelled.

Display and operation for motorbike use
The touchscreen works with thin and thick gloves, so you can adjust settings while riding. The fully interactive display supports gestures like zooming and moving the map. In portrait view, you see more of winding roads, and different colour modes improve readability in sunshine and at different times of the day. The case is shockproof, dustproof and waterproof, so the device works even in bad weather.

Tracks, storage and tour archive
With track support, you can import GPX files and follow prepared routes from the biker community. A large selection of special points of interest for motorcyclists, such as mountain passes, meeting spots, hotels and museums, gives you more ideas for your tours. The SD card slot expands the storage, so you can manage large tour collections and share them with other riders. With compact dimensions and low weight, the device fits neatly on your bike mount.
